

Thomas Michael Galvin Sr., 66, passed away on May 29, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family in Stuart, Florida. Born in Hopkins, Minnesota, Thomas Galvin had previously lived in Palm Beach Gardens for 25 years before moving to the Stuart area. As a PGA Master Professional, he was a Director with The PGA of America for 24 years. After retiring from The PGA of America in 2013, he devoted himself to the ministry as a public instructor of the Bible. He went from teaching people how to play a game better to teaching people how to live better. His passion for people and his love of life extended beyond the game. Thomas (“Poppy”) is survived by Debra, his wife of 42 years; his son Thomas M. Galvin Jr. and his wife Lauren with their children, Thomas Michael III and William Patrick of Jacksonville, FL; his daughter Tiffini Katri and her husband Ryan with their children Carson Thomas and Cameron Ryan of Hobe Sound; and his daughter Brittini Vozzella and her husband, Aaron of Stuart. Thomas is also survived by his brothers Tim of Hopkins, MN, and Dennis of St. Louis, MS; and his sister Bridgid and her daughter Erin Elert-Galvin of Hopkins, MN. He was predeceased by his father and mother, John and Appie Galvin of Hopkins, MN.
