

Vera was born in McLouth, Kansas on June 17, 1933 to the late Jesse and Lillie Graham.
Vera was a graduate of Kansas City College and Bible school, John Brown University and Davidson Community College.
She took her love for learning into the classroom and spent many decades passing her love for English, Math, and Bible onto her students. Vera obtained an additional degree and spent the last
several years before retirement working with exceptional children through Easter Seals.
At the age of sixteen Vera gave her heart and life to Jesus, remaining a devout, strong Christian her entire life.
Vera was a gifted musician and seamstress, an avid reader and a positive encourager to all who knew her. She was always ready to laugh, sing, pray, cry, or talk – whatever the occasion required.
On June 17, 1965 Vera married the love of her life, William (Bill) Gallon. Together they formed a union of strength, love , hard work , prayer and a home where God was honored above all else for
55 years. Vera was truly a loving wife, mother, granny, great granny and friend.
Vera was predeceased in death by her dear husband, Bill, son-in-law Dennis Robbins, sister, Theodore Puckett, and brothers, Robert and Jesse Graham.
Vera will be forever cherished by her daughters Rebekah Robbins and Rachel (Sam) Lecates. Grandchildren: Brooke (Wes) Stewart, Holley (Brent) Lavy, Madalyn Lecates , William Lecates and
Jacob (Ireland) Lecates. Great Grandchildren: Oliver Lavy, Finn Stewart, Jaxon Lavy, Cameron Stewart, Eloise Lavy and Piper Stewart, as well as several nieces, nephews, former students, many
dear friends, caregivers, and her prayer group.
A gathering to honor Vera will take place Monday, June 8 at 4:30 PM Aycock Funeral Home Young and Prill Chapel 6801 Southeast Federal Highway, Stuart Florida. Graveside service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 3:30 PM at Faith Community Chapel
Cemetery, Thomasville, North Carolina with Rev. Brian Covert and Dr. Edward Lecates officiating.
