

Ron Paradise of Stuart, Fl passed away peacefully at home October 5, 2026. Born January 28, 1939 in Asheville, North Carolina son of Tony and Eva Paradise. The family settled in Stuart, Fl in 1951. At a Martin County High School football game that Fall he met the love of his life Jo Marie Ashley.
As a youngster he was a Boy Scout. His fondest memory at just 14 years old was taking a two week cross country camping trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.
Being a part of the Martin County High School Class of 1957 was special for Ron. He proceeded on to further his education at Stetson University joining the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Ron felt compelled to serve his country and joined the Air Force in 1959 – 1961.
Returning to Stuart he and Jo were married November 1962. They moved to Tallahassee, Fl where he graduated from Florida State University with a BS degree – GO NOLES! Later obtained a MS in Business degree from Florida Institute of Technology; serving as an adjunct professor for their Jensen Beach campus 1984-1986.
He hired on with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Group where he became the Supervisor of Computer Operations retiring in 2001 after 36 years. Ron shifted gears and joined Taylor Ashley Agency in Stuart as a Realtor/Broker and Property Manager until his death.
Ron loved old cars and alongside his son they meticulously restored a 1957 Ford Thunderbird and two 1965 Ford Mustangs. He was a member of the Treasure Coast Vintage Car Club and proudly displayed his vehicles at local shows.
A faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Stuart where he enjoyed serving on the parking team.
Ron was a mentor for countless others and strongly encouraged others to pursue their education and achieve all they could. He will be tremendously missed by his family.
Survived by his wife, Jo Marie, son Ron A Paradise (Karin) of Edgewater, daughter Joy Marie Paradise of Stuart, sister Kay Roberts (Ray) of Alabama, grandchildren Derek Tomei, Joel
Tomei, Annemarie Tomei, Dylan Tomei, Taylor Paradise and Robert Paradise. Great granddaughter Dalia Lizbeth Tomei. Also survived by sister-in-law Judith Clark (Larry) and brother-in-law Robert Houmes.
Predeceased by his parents, sister Judi Goetz and brother Michael Paradise; sister-in-law Margie Houmes.
Graveside service will be held October 17, 2026 11:30am at the Kitching Mausoleum, Fernhill Memorial Cemetery Stuart, Fl with Dr. Paul O’Higgins oƯiciating
