

Born in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, he was a resident of Florida more than 30 years coming from Medina County, Ohio.
Before retiring, Bill was the owner of Hopper Carpet Company in Cleveland Ohio.
He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. He was sent to China to serve under General Claire Chennault’s China Wing evacuating both military and civilian personnel from advancing Japanese forces.
He was a member of the Lakewood Park Methodist Church in Ft. Pierce. He was also a devoted Cleveland Indians Fan.
He is survived by his daughter Laurel Hopper of Palm City, FL; son, William A. Hopper, Jr. of Canal Winchester, Ohio; sister, Helen Hopper Fugh of Palmerton, PA; grandchildren, Christopher Hopper, Alicia Hopper Shewring, and Evan McPhail; and great granddaughter, Lylah Shewring.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years Audrey.
The family asked that the best tribute to honor Bill would be to spend a little extra time with your own loved ones since we all know that life is truly short.
