Phyllis Jean Harmon, 73, of Axton, died Friday, September 6, 2013 at her residence. She was born Matoaka, West Virginia to the late James Luther Harmon, Sr., and Adeline Marie Curry Harmon. She had retired from Tultex as Machine Inspector and later moved to Salisbury, North Carolina with her husband Donald where he worked and retired as a truck driver for Food Lion. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Eugene Harmon, three sisters, Mildred Thelma Marlowe, Gracie E. Ratcliff and Pauline Bryant, two brothers, Lloyd Latham Harmon and James Luther Harmon, Jr.Surviving are her sister, Frankie Carolyn Likens of Axton, brother, Clifford David Harmon of Danville, special Great-Niece, Brittany Marie Likens, several nieces and nephews.
