

Born February 19, 1933 in Augusta County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Franklin and Lottie Mae (Cash) Doyle. On December 29, 1962 she married Forrest Benjamin Miller, Jr. whom she was married to for 63 wonderful years.
Prior to retirement, Jo was employed by Western State Hospital where she worked as a nurse’s aide for many years. She was raised attending Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church and later became a member of Finley Memorial Presbyterian Church. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her husband and her large extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Shifflett, Mabel Kutz, Alma Moran, and Cecil Nuckols; and brothers, Thurman Cash, Jerry Doyle, and Elmer Doyle.
Survivors include her loving husband, Forrest “Ben” Miller, Jr. of Stuarts Draft; two sisters, Thelma Estelle (Doyle) Barnett of Stuarts Draft and Betty Lou (Doyle) Jones of Stuarts Draft; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 3204 Cold Springs Road, Greenville with her niece, Mrs. Scarlett Danraj officiating. All who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Danny Doyle, Jeff Barnett, James Jones, Jr., Norman Mohler, Kirk Barnett, William Mohler, Plynn Mohler, and Ryan Danraj.
There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
