Brittany Michelle Fitzgerald

Born July 9, 1998 in Charlottesville, VA, she was a daughter of Thomas L. Fitzgerald, Jr. and Christine (Claytor) Fitzgerald.

She had a zest for life that was infectious, always seeking out the joys in the everyday. Her kindness, strength, and joy for life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of calling her a mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Thomas Fitzgerald, Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Yourtha and Elizabeth Claytor.

Survivors include her three children, Karmen, Katherine, and Myles Fitzgerald; father and mother, Thomas and Christine Fitzgerald of Stuarts Draft; sister, Danielle (Fitzgerald) Smith and husband, Dillon, of Kerrs Creek, VA; brothers, Shane Fitzgerald and Zach Fitzgerald of Stuarts Draft; paternal grandmother, Glenda Fitzgerald of Stuarts Draft; nephews, Wyatt Fitzgerald and Landry Smith; niece, Danielle Smith; special aunt, Colleen Fitzgerald; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft. After the visitation, there will be a time for friends and family to share their favorite memory of Brittany informally from 7:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
