Clair meant a great deal to me and my family, particularly during our years at Ridgeview back in the late 1970s. At the time I was a young man who was in need of spiritual guidance, and Clair was someone who provided loving care to myself and others. He continued to serve the Lord throughout his life and God richly blessed him with a wonderful family and many true friends. I regret that I failed to visit him more often than I did over the years. In calling him home, the Lord has proclaimed “well done thou good and faithful servant.” Clair will be sorely missed here, but his Godly legacy continues to bear much fruit. May God comfort his loved ones in his absence.

We all have wonderful memories of Clair. He was a mentor and friend of the Gideon Ministry and on many occasions provided me and many others of us in the ministry with the guidance and the encouragement we needed to carry on the ministry. We'll sorely miss his dedication to Christ, his commitment and leadership in the Gideon Ministry and his steadfast love and friendship. I'm so glad that you will see him again in heaven. What a joy that will be!
God's blessings...!

I was blessed to meet Clair Hershey and his family when I was 13 years of age. Kerry and I became instant friends on our first day at Wilson Memorial High School. My father died prematurely and as a result, I didn't have the a fatherly male role model for many of my formative years. Clair Hershey was heaven sent in that regard. His love, care, compassion and understanding as a husband and father made an instant and lasting impression on me. Most of all, he exemplified a follower of Christ at the highest level. My life has been enriched by him and I look forward to seeing him again in paradise.

Love and prayers to all of the family. What an impact your father/husband left on the hearts of many. There was no better home to visit, as a teenager. So blessed to have grown up with Kalise and the opportunity to know and spend time with her family. What a legacy he has left, I am jealous he is in heaven with my mom now, what a beautiful picture! Love you all and there is not doubt that every one of his children, grandchildren, and sweet Myrna will carry his legacy on.
