Irene M. Driver

Born December 8, 1929 in Newport News, Va, she was the daughter of the late John Edward and Mattie Estelle (Routten) Gentry. She was the last surviving member of her family.

Irene was a member of Stuarts Draft Christian Fellowship Church. Prior to retirement, she was employed for many years at the Cheese Shop where she worked as a clerk. Irene enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cross stitch, reading and crossword puzzles. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Hershey Driver on August 9, 2015; and eight siblings.

Survivors include her four children, Pauline Zimmerman and husband, Ron, Judy Foster and husband, Larry, Jerry Driver and wife, Kathy, and Steve Driver and wife, Tammy; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside service will be held at Springdale Mennonite Church Cemetery with Pastor Brett Perrett officiating.

There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
