James was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, to Florence E. Dearing and James D. Webster on March 21st, 1971. He graduated from Rustburg High School in Campbell County. James worked for the state of Virginia for 15 years, working at VMI and Western State Hospital. In his spare time, James loved photography and cameras. He especially enjoyed traveling to and photographing Civil War battlefields and historical sites.
James was preceded in death by his father.
James is survived by his mother, Florence Dearing of Stuarts Draft; a half-brother, Charles Webster of Cleveland Heights, OH; and his two feline sidekicks, Patches and Tally.
