Kathern Ann (Nicholas) Robertson

Born April 27, 1964 in Huntington, WV, she was the daughter of the late Leafe E. Nicholas and Phyllis J. Mays.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Thomas “Bucky” Robertson; and brother, Roger Nicholas.

Kathy was a member of Stuarts Draft Christian Fellowship. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Hershey Chocolate of Virginia where she worked for 21 years. She greatly enjoyed traveling, camping and visiting the beach. She adored chatting, visiting, and catching up with her friends. Each friend was her “best friend” and she loved them dearly. Kathy will be remembered as someone who lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies.

Survivors include her daughter, Lori Branch and husband, Tracy of Stuarts Draft; son, Allen Robertson and wife, Megan of Stuarts Draft; two grandchildren she adored, Ryleigh and Landon Robertson; brother, Bobby Nicholas and wife, Crystal of Pittsboro, NC; a cousin who was more like a sister, Shelia Ball of Huntington, WV; aunts, Billie Joe (B.J.) Bowers of Huntington, WV and Mary White of Oklahoma City, OK; long-time companion of her mother, Buck Loan; a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews; and her k-9 girls, Cheato and Sassi.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Stuarts Draft Christian Fellowship with Pastor Bruce Swartz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Buck Loan, Chris Marshall, Lance Marshall, Chris Bradley, Matt Bradley, Chris Fretwell, Ronnie Harrell, and Dale Loan.

The family would like to give a special heartfelt thank you to both her church family and to Dr. Richard Hall, Marie Thomas, Gary Mahoney, Dr. James Larner, Dr. Jason Sheehan and the entire staff of the Emily Couric Cancer Center and UVA Neurosurgery team for all of their love, support, and guidance.
