

Liam was born in Dayton, OH, to Elizabeth Dawn Wilcox and Sean Patrick DeWinter on February 22nd, 2008. Liam was a bright light to everyone that knew him. Liam was incredibly funny and always tried to keep everyone upbeat and happy by making them laugh. He was also a talented sportsman, playing basketball in Baumholder, Germany, where he helped them win their 5th All Europe Championship, being a starting goalie for his soccer team, and playing football for East Knox High School (Ohio) and Riverheads High School. Liam was also a skilled guitarist, an honor roll student, and loved working on cars and mechanical equipment. Liam was a relentlessly curious and passionate young man who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Liam was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dick Hamilton and Linda Hamilton; and paternal grandfather, Paul F. DeWinter.
Liam is survived by his father, Sean Patrick DeWinter; his stepmother, Jennifer L. Balcom; his mother, Elizabeth Dawn Wilcox and stepfather, Benjamin Wilcox. He is also survived by his brothers, Colin Patrick DeWinter and Luke Benjamin Wilcox; as well as his uncle, Richard Hamilton and aunt Wassan; his cousin Basil; his honorary grandparents, Saad and Buthina Hamadi; and his many friends. Liam is also survived by his feline sidekicks, Willy, Woody, Washi, Jerry, and his rabbit, Nugget.
A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Billy Coffey officiating. Following the service, the family will privately lay Liam to rest at Old Providence Church Cemetery.
