Margaret Maxine “Judy” Hite Lowe

She was born August 9, 1938 in Washington, DC the daughter of the late Fred J. and Mary Catherine Harris Hite.

Mrs. Lowe retired in 2003 as an Operating Room Nurse from Augusta Health after 28 years of service, and was a member of the Stuarts Draft Ladies Auxiliary Post 9339.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Lee Lowe, Sr., and a granddaughter, Amber Nichole Houston Knight.

Survivors include two sons; Phillip L. Lowe, Jr and wife Vickie of Mt. Sidney, Gary W. Lowe and wife Cindy of Staunton, a daughter, Patty A. Bowles and fiancé’ Bill Fox of Grottoes, six grandchildren; Holly Michelle Houston of Staunton, Heather Nicole Lowe of Buena Vista, Sarah Cummings, Will Cummings, Emily Cummings of Staunton, Lauren Kisamore of Mt. Sidney, three great grandchildren; Logan Houston, Hunter Simpson, Jacob Hopkinson and a brother-in-law, Wayne Lowe and wife “Tiny” Geraldine. She also leaves special friends Gilda Emmons, Donna Crawford who was also her caregiver and her special cat “Sissy.”

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with the Rev. Merle Dodson officiating. Burial will following in Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Shannon Lotts, Brandon Traylor, Will Cummings, Randy Harris, Wayne Lowe and Greg Hughes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chas Hopkinson, Trevor Hopkinson, Lauran Kisamore, Sarah Cummings and Emily Cummings.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the residence of her daughter Patty Bowles and son, Gary and Cindy Lowe.
