Born in Fort Worth, TX, June 3, 1921, he was the son of the late Matthew Eugene Strange and Lizzie Mae (Clayton) Strange.
He is survived by his son, Dr. Mel Strange of Aberdeen,WA; daughter, Marilyn Corwin and husband, Todd of Lenoir City, TN; grandchildren David Corwin and his wife Elizabeth, Christy and Rebekah Corwin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private family graveside service with full military honors was held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Larry Jones officiating.
