

She was born in Waynesboro on August 2, 1940, a daughter of the late Clyde and Sarah Argenbright.
Marjorie was a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School, a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and was known as the “Beloved Matriarch” of her family. Her many talents included upholstery, ceramics, quilting, baking and candy making.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Argenbright, Faye Cook, Patricia Pannell, Barbara Hensley, Bonnie Maxwell and Mary Carr.
Survivors include her loving husband, Eugene Lambert of 42 years; her children, Darlene Wiseman (G.W.), Irvin Hamilton (Brenda Propst), Diane Grant, (Robin), Walter Hamilton (Kelly Hewitt), Mark Hamilton; brothers, Harold Argenbright (Debbie), Barry Argenbright (Evelyn), Garry Argenbright (Janet), Sammy Argenbright (Nancy) and Bill Argenbright (Anita); grandchildren, Brianna Hamilton, Alyssa Hofmann (Christopher), Caitlin Zirkle (Seth), Jessica Grant, Matthew Grant, Amanda Curry (Brad), Anthony Truslow; great grandchildren, Owen, Cason, Hailey Curry; sister in law, Ann Argenbright, brother in law, W.G. Pannell; special nieces, Roxy Curtis (Mike), Jeanette Marion (Seth) and their children, Blake and Madison. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Calvary United Methodist Church with Pastor David Vaughan officiating. Burial will be private.
Active pallbearers will be Seth Zirkle, Brad Curry, Blake Marion, Madison Marion, Gary Eavers, Jr. and Guy Brooks
There will be no public viewing or visitation.
Marjorie, wife, mom, grandmother, sister and aunt will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 260 Stuarts Draft, Va. 24477 in memory of Mrs. Lambert.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory.
