Nancy Ann Crummett

July 15, 1930July 7, 2016

Nancy Ann Crummett, 85, of Waynesboro, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Augusta Health. She was born in Staunton on July 15, 1930, a daughter of the late Louis and Virginia Farley. Nancy lived in North Carolina and Stuarts Draft. She was an award winning artist with a passion for painting beautiful landscapes, most known for her beach landscapes of North Carolina. When Nancy wasn’t painting, she was playing the piano; another great talent of hers. Nancy also will be remembered for her feisty personality, as an avid fan of the University of Virginia’s baseball and basketball teams and for her great love of animals, especially dogs. Left to cherish her memory is her children, Jack Crummett of Stuarts Draft and Judy Duncan and her husband, Grady of Millwood; three grandchildren, Tabatha Duncan, Tara Welch and Cody Crummett; numerous great grandchildren and her special friends, Winnie Stubbs, Alice and Gary Campbell. Nancy also leaves behind her beloved dog, Marge. Following cremation, the family will receive friends on Monday, July 11, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Nancy’s memory to your local SPCA. Dear Cousins,
I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Nancy's passing. She was brave and strong and expressive. Nancy's personality had as many shades and tints as the beautiful landscrape paintings she put on canvas and as many notes in the songs she played.
Prayings always,
Cynthia(Crummett)Sweet
