Roger Owen Napier

He was born June 30,1949, a son of the late Aubrey Owen and Mable Frances (Truslow) Napier.

Roger retired as an operator after more than 20 years of service from the former DuPont Company in Waynesboro.

He loved gardening, cutting firewood and watching his granddaughter playing sports.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tyler Napier.

Survivors include his wife, Karen (Snead) Napier; daughter, Cameron Knick and husband Shon of Stuarts Draft; a sister, Linda Mawyer and husband Bobby of South Carolina, two grandchildren, Makaila Napier and Clinton Knick.

He also leaves a number of nieces and nephews and his K-9 companion, Sugar Bear.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church, 901 Shenandoah Ave., Waynesboro with the Rev. Dr. Paul Laprevotte officiating.

There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
