

Born June 17, 1957 in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Joseph Edward and Leone (McGann) Brown.
Andy was employed by the City of Waynesboro for many years where he worked as the manager of the Waynesboro Landfill. He was of the Catholic faith. Andy was a graduate of Wilson High School, a lifetime member of the Waynesboro Moose Lodge #1309 and enjoyed watching and feeding hummingbirds at his home. What he most looked forward to every week was the standing date night he had with his wife. Every Friday they enjoyed going out to eat and spending time together. He adored his grandson, Andy, who was named after him and relished being known as “Paw-Paw”. He will be remembered as a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny and Joseph; and two sisters, Mary and Linda.
Survivors include his loving wife of 13 years, Karin Brown of Stuarts Draft; two daughters, Katie Gochenour and husband, Brian, of Crimora and Jessie Brown and partner, Montisha Mercer of Waynesboro; grandson, Andy Gochenour of Crimora; stepdaughter, Kim Steenhuis and partner, Emiliano Barigelli of the Netherlands; stepson, Dennis Steenhuis of the Netherlands; sister, Jane Bauler of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, all services will be held privately.
