Thomas "Bucky" Robertson

Thomas “Bucky” Robertson, 59, of Stuarts Draft passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Born March 28, 1961 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Boyd A. and Elizabeth M. (Fisher) Robertson. On August 9, 1980 he married Kathy Nicholas. The two shared a blessed marriage of 40 years together. Bucky had been employed with Eavers Brothers Excavating for 38 years. He enjoyed operating heavy equipment and was most happy when working on a backhoe. Bucky will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman who loved being in the woods and hunting. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Robertson. Survivors include his loving wife, Kathy Robertson; daughter, Lori Branch and husband, Tracy of Stuarts Draft; son, Allen Robertson and wife, Megan of Stuarts Draft; two grandchildren he adored, Ryleigh Robertson and Landon Robertson; sisters, Karen Campbell and husband, Wayne of Amherst and Sharon Drumheller and companion, Baltazar Vasquez of Stuarts Draft; a number of nieces and nephews; and his k-9 girls, Cheato and Sassi. Friends and family may pay their respects and sign the guestbook from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft. Due to COVID-19 all who plan to attend will be required to wear a facemask and practice social distancing. Following a private service, a graveside service will be held at 2:45 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Stuarts Draft Mennonite Church Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Swartz officiating.
