Walter Myree Campbell

He was born June 29, 1926 in Rockbridge County, son of the late Houston and Katie Dee Sylvester Peters Campbell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Campbell, son-in-law, Dennis Cash and a brother, Buford Peters.

Mr. Campbell loved the Lord and until his health declined, he loved to play music. For many years he worked at Mary Baldwin College.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years Louise Tomlin Campbell, two daughters, Audrey Cash of Madison Heights, VA and Patty Kinsey of York, PA; two grandchildren, Jonathan Cash and wife Lindy and Matthew Cash; two great-grandchildren Jaxon and Ben Cash.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Stuarts Draft.

A service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday September 13, 2012 in the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Rev. Carlton Duck officiating. Burial will follow at Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jonathan and Matthew Cash, John Hendricks, Frankie Tanksley, and Murphy Peters.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gideons International, P. O. Box 715, Waynesboro, Virginia 22980.
