
Ann Elizabeth “Betsy” Mosher of Maynard and formerly of Wayland died peacefully Sunday February 26, 2017 at Wayside Hospice/Miriam Boyd Parlen Residence in Wayland following an extended illness. Her family was at her bedside. She was 68 and the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Jane Moshetu. Born in Boston and raised in Wayland, she was a graduate of Wellesley College, Class of 1969, with a degree in Economics. She later obtained a Master’s of Arts degree in Library Science from the University of Michigan. Well known in Sudbury at the Goodnow Library where she was employed for thirty seven years, she was head of the Childrens Library and impacted hundreds of children with a variety of programs such as Story Times, Truck Days, and Crafts; and instilling a love of books. Betsy was an avid traveler, visiting Australia, New Zealand, the Panama Canal, Holland, Scotland and the Galapagos, among other locations. She enjoyed knitting and of course reading. She is survived by her brothers and their wives; Michael and Mary Mosher of Lakeville and Christopher and Jennifer Mosher of Natick. She was also the aunt of Jonathon Mosher of Maynard, Michael and Amber Mosher of Templeton and Mabel Mosher of Natick. Private graveside will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Wayland.
