

Aram grew up in Pasadena, CA, graduating from Pasadena High School before moving on to Pasadena City College (1971) and Cal State - LA (1981). During those years he met the love of his life, Nancy Anna Olson. They married on September 11, 1976 and shared three decades together, marked by an unwavering devotion to their family and an unyielding faith in Jesus Christ.
In 1982 Aram and Nancy moved to Massachusetts while expecting their first child so that he could attend dental school at Boston University. He graduated in 1987 and entered private practice. They settled in Sudbury in 1989, where they raised their two sons, Stephen and Matthew. Aram was completely devoted to fatherhood, raising his boys with love, patience and integrity. He modeled masculine strength, humor, and love along with a boundless curiosity that shaped their both their character and knowledge. The family became active members of First Baptist Church of Sudbury, where Aram taught Sunday school and served as a deacon for many years.
The son of Armenian refugees, Aram carried a deep rooted thankfulness for sacrifices his parents made, honoring their legacy through his own determination, hard work, and uncompromising integrity. He was the proud owner owner of his own practice in Rugged Bear Plaza where he faithfully served the community for many years before his retirement in 2023. He joined the faculty of Tufts Dental School in 1999, mentoring future dentists with patience, creativity, and clarity until his retirement in 2021.
Aram was an inveterate tinkerer and carried a lifelong appreciation for elegant engineering. He was a gifted craftsman, and enjoyed restoring a large collection of antique radios, furniture, and electric fans, among other things. He appreciated robust debate on his favorite vintage firearms, preferably while also enjoying an ice cream cone. His attention to detail, intelligence, and wisdom shaped his family, career, hobbies, and friendships in lasting ways.
In addition to his parents, Aram was preceded in death by his beloved wife Nancy Anna (Olson) and his three brothers Joe, Sak, and Haig. He is survived by his sons Stephen (Megan) and Matthew (Lynn), and his grandchildren Theodore, Henry, Samuel, Benjamin, with another grandson due in January.
Aram will be remembered for his zealous devotion to the gospel, his inexhaustible love for his family, and the enduring strength of character that inspired and shaped all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, 162 Landham Rd, Sudbury, MA on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 10AM.
