She received her B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy from the College of New Rochelle and obtained her MSW at Simmons University.
Barbara is survived by her son, Jared Kloeblen of Framingham, MA and his wife, Dayna. She also leaves behind her two cherished grandchildren, Anthony and Jacob. Barbara is remembered by her brother, Bruce Meier of Bethesda, MD, and his wife, Mary, along with her niece and nephew, Elizabeth and Cameron.
