

Brett was born September 29, 1999 in Temple, Texas, and moved to Sudbury in 2013. He was a junior at Lincoln-Sudbury High School with plans to study business and finance at his dream-college: University of Texas.
Brett was a proud Texan and known as the “chauffer” to his family since obtaining his driver’s license in January. He enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, and watching movies and comedy shows. Brett also enjoyed cooking and grilling for his family, playing chess, airsoft, paintball, spending time with his family and pets, especially his cat, Shadow. Brett also enjoyed playing pranks on people. Brett was a former Boy Scout in Sudbury, enjoying fishing and camping trips with his troop. He also played Baseball , Football and track when he was a student at Curtis Middle School and continued Baseball and Football in his freshman year at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School.
Brett is survived by his parents, Kimberly (Christie) Kachura and her partner Brian Pontz of Sudbury; Jason Kachura and his wife Abby of Marlborough; siblings, Kaitlyn Kachura, Quinn and Aidan Pontz of Sudbury, Derrick Pontz of Shirley; grandparents, Charlotte Christie of Corpus Christi, TX, Donald Christie and his wife Wilda of Waco, TX, Florence Fletcher and her husband Reid of Brookshire, TX, Alex Kachura (deceased) and his wife Debbie of Killeen, TX; great grandmother Mary Katharine Kachura of Huntington NY; aunts and uncles, April Johnston and her husband Nathan of Colorado, Colorado, Donald Christie of Corpus Christi, TX, Alex Kachura and his wife Angie of Harker Heights, TX, Christopher Kachura and his wife Sherry of Katy, TX, Penny Henderson and her husband Webb of Killeen, TX, Jennifer Born of Corpus Christi, TX; also many cousins, extended relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be held Friday, April 7th, 2017 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Duckett – J. S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at 10:00am at the Sudbury United Methodist Church, 251 Old Sudbury Road, Sudbury, MA. Burial will be private.
