

Cynthia Mary Orcutt, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026. Born on April 3, 1942, in Everett, Massachusetts, she was the cherished daughter of Cynthia Orcutt (Griffin) and Henry Orcutt.
A resident of Sudbury, Massachusetts, Cynthia carried herself with a steady resilience that shaped the way she met life’s seasons. She was beloved for the quiet strength she offered to those around her, and for the enduring care she gave to the people who mattered most.
She devoted a long professional life to her work as a Financial Manager with Sun Life of Canada, serving with consistency, diligence, and a sense of responsibility that reflected her character.
Cynthia’s interests reflected a spirit that embraced both creativity and the open horizon. She was a true artist. She found enjoyment in pottery, jewelry making, gardening and delighted in travel, while also pursuing the exhilaration and freedom of sailing, skiing, horseback riding, and time spent outdoors.
She was an animal lover and deeply cared for her pets Frankie, Kiera, Cassie, and Penny Jo.
She is survived by her stepson, Ted Lewis, and her stepdaughter Amy. She is also survived by her brother, Richard of Harmony, FL, her nephew, Jason Orcutt and her beautiful and favorite niece Melanie Lobato. Cynthia is predeceased by past husband John Winchester.
Cynthia's life was marked by love of family, and a gracious steadiness that will be deeply missed and long remembered.
A Celebration of Life for Cynthia Orcutt will be held at the Wayside Inn on September 20th at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to come together to remember and celebrate her life.
