

He was born in Forest Hills on May 31, 1939 and attended Boston Latin School, Brandeis University, and Tufts Dental School.
After dental school, he did his military service with the Public Health Service where he retired with the rank of Commander. This service included a year in Lexington KY at a psychiatric hospital, a year going around the Great Lakes servicing US Coast Guard personnel & American Indian communities, and 2 more years at Curtis Bay Maryland where he worked on returning wounded from Vietnam.
After his military service, he did associate work with Dr Hershberg in Quincy MA. This was followed-up with Endodontic work with the Dean of the Harvard Dental School in Boston. There he worked on the likes of Joanne Woodward, Vincent Price, Vincent Price's wife Coral Brown, and tennis sport writer for the Boston Globe Bud Collins.
For the next 20 years he had his own dental practice at 221 Boston Post Road West Marlboro, MA. The following 20 years was spent a little close to Sudbury at 221 Boston Post Road East Marlboro, MA. He was a member of the Lions club for several years.
He leaves his wife Roberta of 59 years, a step daughter Amber Simkins, her husband Jeff, granddaughter Melanie, a son Gardiner David, his wife Deidre, granddaughter Bridget Ruth, and grandson Cedric Ronen Cerul. Interment will be at Broadridge Cemetery in Dry Ridge Kentucky.
