Don had a successful career of more than 40 years as a Sales Representative and Vice President in the printing industry. He lived his whole life in Massachusetts and despite its cold, loved the changing of the seasons. Don was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed watching the triumphs and tribulations of our teams each season. For years he was a renowned pitcher in the Sudbury Men’s Softball league before retiring in 2014 after winning the championship in his last season. He played striker and a goalkeeper for Framingham United in the New England Over the Hill Soccer League from the spring of 2010 – 2022.
He was a man of faith and attended Mass on Sundays throughout most of his life.
He will be remembered for his easy-going nature, and most of all, a smile that brightened everyone’s day.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift or donation in Don’s honor to The Carroll Center for the Blind in Newton, MA (https://carroll.org/donate). Don was an active instructor in his son’s archery business and had a strong connection to the students and staff there, who affectionately referred to him as “Coach Don.”
