Eliana Perez, of Sudbury, passed away on August 26, 2019. Born in Lima, Perú, she was the oldest of eight daughters of Oscar and Teofila (Alegre) Perez. She was the beloved sister of Graciela Perez, and her husband Manuel Alvarez, of Perú, Alcida Matos, and her husband Francisco Matos, of Framingham, MA, Victoria Griffin, and her husband Michael J. Griffin, of Sudbury, MA, Florinda Perez, of Perú, and Blanca Perez, of Sudbury, MA. Eliana has now joined her sisters Nelly and Magda (Juana) Perez.
Eliana was a cherished aunt who is survived by many nieces and nephews: Rosario (Charito) Alvarez de Alpiste, and her husband Juan Manuel Alpiste, of Perú, Oscar Matos, and his partner Jan Marie Placido, of Framingham, MA, Dolores Benoit, and her husband L. David, of Sudbury, MA, Martin Matos, of Framingham, MA, Christopher Matos, and his wife Victoria, of Walpole, MA, Nathan Matos, and his partner Patricia Robertson, of Framingham, MA, Paul Matos, of Framingham, MA, Michael P. Griffin, and his wife Amy, of Sudbury, MA, and Elaine Rubin, and her husband Ryan, of Henderson, NV.
Eliana also had a special place in her heart for all her grand nieces and nephews. Luis, Mariana, and Adriana Alpiste, Cole Matos Romani, Sophia, Leo, and David Benoit, Mason and Devin Matos, Alanna and Elijah Matos, and Marley Matos.
She is also survived by many cousins in Perú.
Eliana earned her teaching degree from Escuela Normal Técnica del Perú.
A teacher, loving caretaker, and devout Catholic, Eliana spent her life putting her family first. She loved helping raise all of her sisters, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews, and devoted her life to comforting and caring for them. Her family will miss her generosity, unconditional love, cooking, stories, and celebrating everyone’s life events.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 31 at 10:00 AM at St. Stephen’s Parish, 221 Concord St, Framingham, MA, followed by interment in New Town Cemetery, 357 Concord Rd, Sudbury, MA. Visitation will be held Friday, August 30, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Duckett-J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road/Route 20, Sudbury, MA.
