

Ethel V. Johnson of Sudbury passed away at home with her family beside her March 9, 2015. Born in Nashoba County, MS to David and Sudie Duncan in 1920 she was just shy of her 95th birthday, of which she was most proud. She was predeceased by her husband Edgar L. Johnson Jr. and sons Edgar III and Paul. Ethel is survived by daughters; Frances Simpson, Elna Johnson, Martha Schlaff (David), Cynthia Strine, and son David. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Ethel and family moved to Sudbury in 1956, and she was a founding member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish where she served as a sacristanand member of the Ladies Guild and was the creator of countless christening robes. Ethel was a woman of great faith and a bottomless well of love and kindness to all. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Catholic Charities of Boston or to the charity of your choice. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 12, at 8:00 am from the Duckett-J. S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road, Rt. 20, Sudbury, MA followed by a funeral mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 160 Concord Road, Sudbury at 9:00 o'clock. Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Interment will be at Mount Wadsworth Cemetery, Sudbury.
