George P. Hayes Jr.
April 27, 1932 – May 4, 2022

George P. Hayes Jr, age 90 passed away on May 4th, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Boston to Anne Igoe and George P Hayes on April 27, 1932.
He is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth (Betty) of 64 years. His three daughters, Beth of Bedford, MA, Amy of St Maur, France, and Stacey Riordan and her spouse Lester E. Riordan of Sudbury, MA. His four grandchildren Renée Serda of Paris, France, John Riordan of Sudbury, MA, Marcel Serda of Chennevieres sur Marne, France and William Riordan of Sudbury, MA. His brother John preceded him in death.
George was a graduate of BU, Suffolk, and Bentley University. He served with the US Army, in the 82nd Airborne. He was the owner and CEO of Keane Fire & Safety Equipment Company.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing and playing poker. He was a supporter of Catholic charities and a longtime member of Nashawtuc Country Club.
On Tuesday, May 17th the visiting hours are at Duckett Funeral Home of J.S. Waterman & Sons, 656 Boston Post Rd, Sudbury, MA 01776 from 4:00-7:00 pm.
On Wednesday, May 18th, A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am at Ascension Parish (formerly Our Lady of Fatima), 160 Concord Road, Sudbury, MA 01776
Interment following the Mass at Wadsworth Cemetery 74 Concord Road, Sudbury.
