SUDBURY - Gloria Ann (Bonacorso) Hughes, age 84 of Auburn, and formerly of Sudbury, passed away on Tuesday January 17, 2023.
Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late James and Rosaria (Marino) Bonacorso. Gloria was the beloved wife of the late Edward G. Hughes. She was the devoted mother of Edward G. Hughes, Jr. and his wife Jeralyn of Auburn. She was the sister of Jack and Vito Bonacorso of the Bronx NY, Vincent Bonacorso of FL, and the late Marie DeFedele and Ursula Paciullo. She was the proud grandmother of Brigid Hughes of Southbridge, and great-grandmother of Jordan Suderley. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Gloria was an active Parishoner for many years at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, and volunteered for over 30 years for the American Red Cross. Gloria was a volunteer providing vision and hearing screening for the Sudbury schools. She was also a member of the FISH organization providing transportation for people to and from medical appointments.
Funeral from the Duckett - J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Rd. (Rt. 20) SUDBURY on Wednesday January 25, 2023 at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in Ascension Parish - Our Lady of Fatima Church, Sudbury at 10:00 AM. Visiting Hours in the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 PM. Interment Wadsworth Cemetery, Sudbury.
