While I wasn’t even there for my most recent memory of Karen, the ones most memorable are those she left with Lauren and Emily. Listening to the stories they shared of spending time with her while in FL, made me realize what a special person she was to make such an impact on them. They had the best time winning rubber ducks with her at Cheeseburgers and More (and later won more at the same place and insisted they be mailed to her) and showed me all the selfies they took together on her ipad! They had the best time with her while she was here! Her giggle, her walk, her smile, her smuggling soda and treats, she made us all smile and will truly be missed, but she was welcomed with open arms by Aunt Doris, Uncle Bo, Auntie Fran and Diane!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bergen family. I have such fond memories of Karen. Especially from my years living next door on Windmill Drive. She was such sweet a patient babysitter to my brother and me. I was very lucky to have Karen as a neighbor growing up. With love from Alex, Lori, Henry & William Remington

Karen will be missed. I enjoyed the times I spent with Karen, and have always enjoyed hearing stories from Judy about Karen and all her other sister cousins. Rest in peace Karen - you are loved.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I remember Karen fondly when she would visit Judy here in Florida. I always felt she enjoyed these visits during her younger years. None of us can know how it is to be someone with special needs, but I believe she had many happy times with her wonderful family. May your memories of Karen, especially the funny ones, help you at this sad time.

I only knew Karen for a short time. But she would always brighten up my day. She was a joy to have on my Bus. We'll all miss her dearly.

The love, care and support your family gave Karen was truly an inspiration. I met Karen through my friendship with her honorary sister Judy and saw how blessed Karen was to be part of your family. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers and may you find comfort and peace in the days ahead. Take care, Mary Pat Schlaudecker
