Kevin James Leone

With broken hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Kevin James Leone, who left us far too soon on August 2, 2026, at the age of 68.

Kevin was born on March 22, 1958, and was raised in Sudbury, Massachusetts, where he grew up surrounded by the love of his parents, two brothers and two sisters. As the oldest of five children, Kevin became someone his family could count on. He graduated from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School with the Class of 1976 and carried the friendships he made there throughout his life.

Kevin worked many years at Gen Rad Corporation before deciding to trade New England's snowy winters for the sunshine of Florida.

He first worked alongside his brother in St. Petersburg before building a successful life as a self-employed carpenter and handyman. Whether it was repairing something around the house or helping someone in need, he never hesitated to lend his time, his talents, or his heart.

To know Kevin was to know someone who was happy with the simple things. He loved a good steak dinner, The Patriots, The Bruins, Dunkin Donuts, comedy, and classic rock. A fun loving New England guy through and through. He had a twinkle in his eye that hinted a funny comment was on the way and his laugh was unforgettable. It was genuine, contagious, and one of the many things people will miss most.

Kevin never forgot a birthday, and asked about the people you cared about. He was thoughtful in ways both big and small. He cherished the lifelong friends he grew up with and welcomed new friendships everywhere life took him. His kindness and loyalty left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He was an animal lover, deeply sentimental, and lived simply, finding joy not in possessions but in people. Family and his close friends meant everything to Kevin, and there was nothing that made him happier than spending time with those he loved.

Kevin is predeceased by his mother, Joan McCarthy, his stepdad, Pat, and his father, James “Buddy” Leone.

Kevin leaves behind his loving siblings: Glenn Leone and his wife, Brooke; Karen Horgan and her husband, Gerald; Todd Leone and his wife, Annie; and Lynn Leone. He was a proud and devoted uncle to his cherished nieces and nephews: Jacqueline, and her children, Ella and Rylee; Cristie, and her children, Kaius and Izabel; Justin; Julienne, Ryan; his goddaughter, Shannon; and Landon. He is also survived by many beloved cousins and dear friends who became family over the years.

Kevin's life reminds us that the greatest measure of a person is not found in wealth or accomplishments, but in the love they give, the kindness they show, and the memories they leave behind. His heart, fun spirit, big hugs, warm smile, and unforgettable laugh will remain with us always.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Kevin's love lives on in every story we tell, every song that reminds us of him, every birthday remembered, and every act of kindness done in his honor. We will miss him beyond words, but we will carry him with us forever.

A Mass service will be held on August 12, 2026 at 10:30AM at The Ascension Parish (formerly Our Lady of Fatima Church), 160 Concord Road, Sudbury, Massachusetts.

Immediately following the Mass, family and friends are warmly invited to gather for a Celebration of Kevin's Life at the Maynard Elks Lodge, 34 Powder Mill Road, Maynard, Massachusetts, where we will honor him the way he would have wanted—with laughter, music, stories, and the people he loved most.
