Marian C. Knight, of Framingham died at his home, Saturday afternoon, July 27, he was 86. Born in Troyes, France on January 20, 1927 he was a son of the late Chester Wieczorek and Jeanne (Moreau). He served in the Polish Division of the English Army for forty months and had free passage to America, arriving in April of 1948. He was married on April 16, 1949 to Helen (Stokowski), with whom he shared 64 years.
Mr. Knight became an American citizen in 1951. Having attended grammar school in Europe, Marian went on to attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and graduated in 1958. He worked as an electrical engineer, retiring from GTE in 1992
after 33 years of service.
In addition to his wife Helen, Mr. Knight is survived by his son, Stephen W. Knight of Marlborough, Massachusetts; and his daughter Joanne Helen Knight and her husband Richard Charles Hills of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He was also the grandfather of Matthew Charles Hills and Rebecca Helen Hills.
Services for Mr. Knight are private, and at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
