Rene D Cyr II
February 7, 1968 – July 5, 2018
Rene “Randy” Cyr II, 50, of Sudbury, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018.
Born February 7, 1968, he was the loving husband of Kelly-Jo (Cross) and cherished father of Kayleigh, who survive him. His parents, Rene G and Flora (Berube) Cyr also survive, along with two brothers, Theodore and Rick Cyr. He leaves behind many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends, as well as his mother-in-law, Joanne Cross, and his brother-in-law, Jon Cross. He was predeceased by a son, Tyler Cyr, in 2008.
Rene led an active and joyful life, and while growing up, he never missed an opportunity to get into trouble with his cousins Alan and Mark. His family was his first love. He adored his daughter Kayleigh and was very proud of her accomplishments, speaking of her constantly. He also served as a backbone for his parents, making many trips to Maine, where he enjoyed helping them in any way he could. Friends and family could always count on his love and support, whenever they were in need. He loved animals, especially his two cats, Scooter and Pino.
Along with spending time with his family, Rene enjoyed boxing and MMA and was a member of Title Boxing in Framingham and The Longfellow Club in Wayland. He could be seen on his daily walks and trips to Dunkin Donuts in Sudbury and was known for his passion of reading, music, and politics. He was employed by Accenture as a recruiter.
He will be sorely missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him, but his family will take comfort in knowing he is with his son, Tyler, again.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 10am at the Duckett-J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Rd, Sudbury, followed by burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Sudbury. Visiting hours will be Monday, July 9 from 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
