

ANDREWS, Richard Paul Of Sudbury, died Friday, July 10, at Bridges by EPOCH in Sudbury; he was 91. Richard was the beloved husband of the late Ethel Andrews and is survived by his children; Susan M. Andrews of Sudbury, Jean K. Egginson and her husband Richard of Framingham, Richard J. Andrews and his wife Anne of Bellingham, David J. Andrews and his partner Mafe Gallo of Annapolis, MD, Michael T. Andrews and his wife Whitney of San Antonio, TX, and Bill Andrews and his wife Kathy of Northborough, as well as thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Richard was a son of the late Harry and Annie (Garrity) Andrews and brother of the late Ruth Durkin, Marion Glennon, Robert Andrews, and Harold Andrews and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Richard was a graduate of Northeastern University class of 1957 and worked as a sales manager at Raytheon until his retirement in 1992. Richard had a lifelong love of sports from playing baseball as a boy to being a defenseman on the Northeastern University hockey team, coaching youth hockey and playing handball well into his 80’s. He loved Cape Cod, boating and enjoying time in the sun at his favorite beach on Sampsons Island in Cotuit with his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday August 1 at 10:00am at St. Anselm Church, 100 Landham Rd.,Sudbury. An hour of visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 at the church prior to the Mass; relatives and friends kindly invited. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Richard P. Andrews.
