Robert E. Huie

SUDBURY – Robert E. Huie, 85, of Sudbury passed away peacefully Tuesday April 7 surrounded by his children. Mr. Huie was born on October 27, 1929 in Saugerties, New York, the son of the late Irving and Irene Huie. He was raised in New York. After graduating from Manhattan College in 1951, Mr. Huie went to work at Perini Corp where he went on to spend his entire career. Beloved husband of the late Janet Huie; devoted father of Bruce Kin Huie of San Francisco CA, Robert T. Huie and his wife Bernice of Fayetteville GA, Kathleen Trahan and her husband Christopher of San Jose CA, Karen Huie of Gloucester, Nanci Ryder and her husband Scott of Wellington FL, Douglas Huie of Sudbury, and Ellen Huie of Providence RI; loving grandfather of 11, and the brother of the late Irving Huie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A devout Catholic he was a communicant of St Bridget 's Parish in Maynard and active in various committees at the church. He loved swimming and spending time with his family. A U.S. Navy Vet Korean War, and member of The Moles. Funeral Monday April 13 at 10 AM from the Duckett – J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Rd. (Rt. 20) SUDBURY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 o’clock at St. Bridget Church, 1 Percival St. Maynard. Interment St. Bridget Cemetery, Maynard. Visiting hours Sunday from 4 to 6 PM. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to St Bridget's Parish in Maynard.
