Stella Ann Ricciardi

July 11, 1933November 7, 2019

Stella Ann (Pagano) Ricciardi, 86, former longtime resident of Sudbury, passed away November 7, 2019 peacefully with her family at her side.

She is survived by her four devoted children and their families, Joseph Ricciardi of Acton, Michael Ricciardi of Andover, Lisa Ricciardi of Rye, NY, and Sharon Peloquin of Sudbury. She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 65 years, Frank Ricciardi; also with her parents, Michael and Mary Pagano and two brothers, Frank and Nicholas.

Mrs. Ricciardi was born on July 11, 1933 in Port Henry, New York and a graduate of the former Mildred Elliot Academy in Albany. She worked for Raytheon many years ago before raising her children. She was devoted to her Catholic faith, a loyal communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Sudbury and a member of the Church choir. She was also a member of the Garden Club and greatly enjoyed decorating the Church and the Wayside Inn during the holidays. Stella took pleasure in participating in the Christian Women’s Club, Red Hat Society, bowling leagues, book clubs, and actively supported her husband in the Knights of Columbus and The Sudbury Food Pantry. Mrs. Ricciardi was a gentle, caring woman and the original (unofficial) meals-on-wheels for anyone in need. She was her family’s favorite chef and cherished time spent with her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.

Dear Joseph, Lisa , Michael, Sharon, Spouses, Grandchildren of Stella Ann Pagano Ricciardi:
No words can truly express our sympathy to you & your family on the loss of your Mother, Mother-in-law and Grandmother.
Aunt Stella was always Bright, Cheerful, Loving and Open Arms to Jane & I from the first time we met her and your father in 1980. Stella & your Father welcomed the two us into their home in Sudbury just months before Jane & I were going to be wedded to each other and offered us Hope & Promise to make things easy with our situation in Connecticut.
Jane & I always looked forward to visiting with the Ricciardi (s) of Massachusetts and especially treasured (LOVED) being with your Mother & Father!
Our conversations on almost every topic were always spirited, lively, thought provoking , funny and cherished.

May the LOVE you feel from your Friends & Relatives be a source of comfort to you at this time.
Love Always,
Frank & Jane and Family

Joey, Michael, Lisa, Sharon, Zoila, Ravi and Bill......Mom and I are heartbroken over the loss of your Mom. The name Stella was very appropriate for her, she was a real gem, a real star, you could always count on her for warm hugs, a beautiful smile, a great joke, her contagious laugh and her total love of conversation. No matter how many other people were in the room, she made you feel as if you were the only one that mattered to her at that time. Of course our family goodbyes were always off the chart, as it would take about an hour for all of us to say goodbye to one another, well maybe 4 or 5 goodbyes, your Mom had her part in that as well. It was as if she never wanted to really say goodbye. I will forever treasure my memories of her, our visits to Concord Rd and seeing meals prepared in that tiny kitchen, made even smaller by all of us that wanted to be in the kitchen. My heart is full of beautiful memories of my Aunt Stella, you are all in our thoughts and prayers and may your Mom now rest in eternal peace in God's loving embrace with your Dad right by her side. With much love,,,

To our dearest friends, their husbands &wives and the beautiful grandchildren of Stella,

When I think of Stella I can’t help but smile, what an INCREDIBLE woman, truly beautiful in and out.

There is not a person who has ever met Stella that could walk away and not feel that they were touched by an Angel because Stella was just that, how blessed if we were one those people. Stella was here on loan to us from God because God had promised Frank when her work here was done he would bring her home, and just in time to celebrate their 67th anniversary together, an anniversary date the four of us will always share, one of the most beautiful couple’s we have ever known.

Our thoughts, prayers and love are with all of you at this time. We are so grateful that her soul lives on through all of you and us who will never forget this beautiful woman.

Love you Stella very much, my co-ed friend!

All our love,
Cookie & Billy

Your mother was a very special person who was filled with love and happiness. I feel truly blessed to have known Stella and had her, your father and all of you as part of our family for so many years. I hope knowing she is with her soulmate will console you during these difficult times.

Love you all,
