Born to Edwin and Josephine Mortlock; he leaves his brother Raymond and his wife, Cynthia; his significant other, Annemarie (Elder) Puopolo and her children. He is also survived by his Aunt Jeannette (Edmondson) Gomol and her husband Richard, of Colorado and Texas and various cousins throughout the states.
His life and passion involved firefighting from age twelve. He served on several ladder and engine companies in the Boston Fire Department from 1970 until retirement in 2012. He served on various committees; was a member of the Honor Guard, chairman of the blood drive, trustee on the charitable association, and many others.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday,June 14, 2026 beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Forsyth Chapel of Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain, Mass. A concluding service will take place at the Boston Firefighters Memorial Lot with in the cemetery. All are invited.
