Sylvia (Aviles) Bosco, 84, of Sudbury, and formerly of New York, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019, after an illness.
Sylvia Bosco was born on June 6, 1934 in Utuado, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Eladio Aviles and Luz Maria Serrano Rodriquez. She lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Sylvia attended City College of New York where she met her husband Vito Bosco. They eventually settled in Wantagh, New York, where they resided for over fifty years, before moving to Sudbury, MA.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, Sylvia was also a talented seamstress. In addition to raising four children, she kept busy as a beautician and caretaker to the young and elderly. She is survived by her adoring husband of 61 years, Vito Bosco, and her children: Denise Bosco and Partner Don; Laura Bane and husband, Marc; David Bosco and wife, Valerie; and Daniel Bosco. She was also the proud grandmother of Victoria and Olivia Bane. Sylvia is also survived by family and friends in Massachusetts, New York, Puerto Rico, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and at Orchard Hill in Sudbury.
A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 160 Concord Rd., Sudbury, MA 01776. Burial will be private.
