

V. James "Jim" Cannalonga , a 60 year resident of Sudbury, died Friday March 20, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family, he was 87. Jim was the beloved husband of Joan F. (Danahy) Cannalonga for 62 years.
Born in Watertown, he was the son of the late Vito Cannalonga and Elizabeth (Iozzo) Cannalonga. Jim was raised and educated in Watertown, and was a 1945 graduate of Watertown High School. Mr. Cannalonga served his country in the United States NAVY. Following his military service, he worked for 25 years in the Engineering Department at Raytheon, then 14 years managing Abbott Spray and Farm Equipment Co., Inc. in Lexington. Most recently he was General Manager of Wagon Wheel Nursery in Lexington from 1983 to 1998. He was a member of St. Anselm Church in Sudbury since it opened in 1962.
Jim was the devoted father of Nancy Cooper of Tucson Arizona, Susan Bartish and her husband John Bartish of Tucson Arizona, Beth Crowley and her husband Robert Crowley Jr. of Dedham, and Elaine Najemy and her husband Paul Najemy of Grafton; cherished grandfather of Jonathan Cooper and his wife Stacey (Celaya) of Tucson Arizona, Andrea and Allison Crowley, both of Dedham, Stephen and Michael Najemy, both of Grafton; and the loving great-grandfather of Shenandoah Cooper of Tucson Arizona.
Jim's funeral will be held on Friday March 27, at 9 AM from the Duckett - J.S. Waterman and Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road (Rt. 20) SUDBURY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anselm Church, 100 Landham Road, Sudbury at 10 o'clock. Interment will follow the Mass in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Sudbury. Visiting hours will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 4-8 PM, Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
