Angeline P. Clifford, a lifetime resident of Suffern, NY, passed away on August 10, 2026. She was 98 years old. Angeline was born on September 8, 1927, in Suffern, NY to the late James and Rose (Palma) Iorio. Angie was an alumnus of Suffern High School Class of 1945 and a devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Angie was a member of the Suffern Historical Society from its inception; identifying photos of long ago people and places only someone who’d lived in Suffern for as long as she did would know. From Girl Scouts and Craft Clubs to Suffern Clifford Theater, she made herself available to many. Her involvement in the community was more than service; it was an expression of her belief that we are called to care for one another. She gave her time freely, spoke truthfully, and worked tirelessly to make her corner of the world a better place.
We take comfort in knowing that Angie has gone home to the Lord, reunited with loved ones who went before her, and held now in eternal peace. Her family will carry forward her spirit of honesty, service, and faith, remembering her not only for what she did, but for who she was.
She is survived by Catherine, (Bill) Marlene, (Martin) David, Elizabeth and Patt (Larry) her brother-in-law Dougie and sisters in law Betty and Shirley. Grandchildren, Billy, Jesse, Ryan, Rachel (Matt), Brooke, Danielle, (Curtis) and Thomas. Great grandchildren, Keenan, Sylvan, Reese and Bryce. She was also Aunt Angie to numerous nieces, nephews and their loved ones.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Jack, her nine siblings Steve, Carmela, Rose, Mae, Jane, Sam, Ralph, Joe and Marianne, her beloved sisters-in-law Anna, Fran, Betty Jean, Edith and Mary, and brothers-in-law Joe and Dave. She was also predeceased by former sons-in-law Patrick and Doug, who remained a dear part of her large family.
