Ann was born in Manhattan on October 1, 1934 to the late Jeremiah and Mary (Coughlin) Kane and was raised in the Bronx, NY.
Prior to raising her family in Suffern, Ann worked as a Representative for the New York Telephone Company in Manhattan. She will be remembered for her kindness and her clever sense of humor. Ann’s family was the center of her life and she is missed greatly by those who knew her.
Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Bill; children, William M. Mellett and his wife Tracey, Mary Mellett and Robert Mellett; caring sister, Mary Kane. She is also survived by her cherished granddaughters, Krista and Marisa Mellett. Ann’s brother, Jerry Kane, recently passed away.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 2-4pm at the WANAMAKER & CARLOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 177 Rt. 59, Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, December 17th at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, NY. Burial will follow at Frederick Loescher Veterans Cemetery in New Hempstead, NY.
