Anna Vincenza Plastino, 91, of Nanuet, NY, formerly of Bronx and Valhalla, NY, went to the angels on December 25, 2017. She was born on August 29, 1926 to the late Leonardo and Giovanna Miraglia in the Bronx. She met the love of her life, Michael Plastino at a CYO dance and later married him in July of 1944 at Immaculate Conception Church in the Bronx, just before he deployed to the Pacific in WWII. Anna is survived by her three loving children, Leonard (Linda) Plastino of Somers, NY, Michael (Eileen) Plastino of Somers, NY and Maryann (Jeffrey) Small of Nanuet, NY. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Vanessa, Jennifer, Christopher, Stephen, Christina and Sarah, four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael in 1994. Although she worked in a variety of office jobs in the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building, she finished her career close to home at Brunschwig et Fils in Valhalla, NY. Anyone who ever met Anna was impressed by her smile, her charm and her open-armed welcome. Her favorite things were reading and cooking, and anyone who crossed her door was quickly whisked to the table and a plate of food put in front of them. She and Michael loved to travel, especially to Italy to spend time with the family. She is also predeceased by her beloved sisters Rose and Grace and their husbands Mike and Sal, as well as her in-laws Dorothy and Henry. Visiting at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home in Suffern, NY on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral Mass, St. Aedan’s Church, Pearl River, N.Y. on Friday, 11 AM.
