December 12, 1969 – November 15, 2019
Annamaria Lucia of Airmont, NY died Friday, November 15, 2019, after a four year battle with stage IV breast cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Armando, daughters Isabella, Olivia and Carina, Mother and Father Gerardina and Eugenio, sister Rina, her husband Kire, nephew and niece, Luka and Ariana, and Mother-in-law Alvisia. She is preceded in death by her father-in-law Umberto who battled lymphoma. Annamaria was born on December 12, 1969 in Jersey City, NJ eventually moving to Fair Lawn, NJ where her parents still reside. She graduated with an accounting degree from Montclair State and worked for AT&T wireless for 10 plus years. On September 3, 1994 she married the love of her life, Armando. They lived in Fair Lawn after marrying and later moved to Airmont, NY in 2003. On February 2, 2000 they were blessed with the first of their three daughters, Isabella. She was followed by Olivia in 2004 and Carina in 2008. Annamaria relished every moment of being a mother and homemaker. Her days began early and ended late but she wouldn't have it any other way. She loved cooking and taking care of her home. She cleaned the house from top to bottom every Thursday no matter the circumstances, . Even on weeks she had chemo. God put her on this earth to be a caring mother and wife and she did not disappoint in either of those roles. Anyone who crossed paths with her knows how she lit up a room and was the center of conversation. She also did not believe in short text messages because that just wasn't her style. She was devoted to our Cherry Lane Elementary PTA for many years and always looked forward to running many of their fundraisers. Annamaria will be very missed by all of us as she was taken much too soon, but heaven has received one very special angel. It is difficult to let you go but there will come a time when we can be together again. Until then, we love you always.

I was fortunate to know Annamaria and her family through the Suffern Library where I work. She was such a lovely woman and I always looked forward to seeing her and the girls on a regular basis. She was a great mom and it showed in the sweetness and vivaciousness of her daughters. I am heartbroken for her family. The world is a little less bright now.

I went to middle and high school with Annamaria. We didn’t have many classes together, but when we passed in the hallways we would always say hi. I thought she was so sweet and pretty!
It looks like she lived a beautiful life with her family. I am so very sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
With sincere sympathy,

It was my pleasure to be her neighbor for 15 years. She was nothing short of a loving wife and mother. Annamaria was happiest in the summer when she and Isabella, Olivia and Carina would spend their days and nights in their pool. I enjoyed hearing them all laughing and listening to Annamaria talking Italian. I hope you find comfort, Armando knowing that you both raised wonderful daughters. May she Rest In Peace 🙏🏻❤️My heartfelt sincere condolences. She was a beautiful soul. With love, Joan

My heartfelt condolences Armando to you and your beautiful girls. Family and friends. We worked side by side for many years. I was your nurse and you were my computer expert. I never met Annamarie but feel I knew her well through your deep love for her. I still have one of her recipes I have made for my family. Your tribute to her is beyond words and someday you will all be together again. I truly believe that. I cannot imagine your hurt. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love Gale

Annemarie Lucia was a fixture at Cherry Lane School, volunteering countless hours for the PTA. She was a caring and loving mother to her three wonderful daughters, Isabella, Olivia, and Carina. It was a pleasure having her as a parent during my career at Cherry Lane School. She will always be remembered for her vibrant personality and delicious Italian biscotti. Annemarie will be greatly missed in our community. Sending my condolences to the entire family.
