Anne Garajcek

Anne Garajcek passed away on March 23 at the age of 96. Her husband, John, predeceased her in 2004. Anne is survived by her children, John, Jo-Anne (Kevin), and Jane (Lou), her beloved grandsons, Michael (Austin) and Devin, and her great granddaughter, Riley. Anne was born in 1926 in the Bronx, NY, and moved to Rockland County in 1963 where she raised her family, had a wide circle of friends, was a dedicated child care worker at St. Agatha Home for Children, and an active member of Sacred Heart Church. Anne loved to walk in the neighborhood and continued walking as long as she could in the hallways of Heath Village in Hackettstown, NJ, where she has lived for the last six years. She was an avid reader and loved to knit, crochet, and do needlework.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 27 from 9:00-10:00 am at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901 and the funeral will be held on March 27 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
