Born on March 2, 1940, in Suffern, to Victoria and Harold Broadhead. Dennis was the beloved husband of his high school sweetheart, Dolores M. Broadhead, and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He was the proud father of two daughters, Denise Auburger (John) and Dawn Carlson (Richard), and the doting grandfather to Lauren, Tyler, Carlee, and Kristen. His legacy extends to his great-grandchildren Kylee, Dylan, Taylor, Maisie, Mason, and Hudson, who brought him endless joy. Dennis is also survived by his loving sisters Valerie Prokop and Pamela Cavalieri, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Dennis was a man of many passions. He had a deep love for old, classic cars, and his beloved 1994 Ford Lightning will always be a cherished symbol of his enthusiasm for these timeless machines. His love for the open road was matched only by his love for his family and friends. He and Dolores created a lifetime of memories together, including cruising the Caribbean and embarking on countless adventures, sometimes with family and sometimes as a duo, relishing each other’s company.
At the heart of the Broadhead family gatherings was Dennis’s talent in the kitchen. He was known for his culinary skills, especially his famous cheesecake, a treat that became a beloved tradition at Christmas time.
Those who knew Dennis will remember him as a man who was a friend to many, always the first to lend a hand when someone was in need. He leaves behind not only a legacy of love, but a treasure trove of unforgettable memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Dennis’s family takes comfort knowing that his life was full of love, laughter, and cherished moments. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
