Donald Regis Cloonan

Donald Regis Cloonan, age 89 of Suffern, NY, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026. He is survived by his daughters, Donna Ortiz and her husband Robert Ortiz along with Nancy Cloonan and her husband Michael Lisi both of Plymouth, MA. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Courtney Ortiz of Providence RI, Chelsea Ortiz Greineder and her husband Erik Ortiz Greineder of Spokane, WA, and Haley Maniero and her husband David Maniero of Worcester, MA. He will be missed by his sister Virginia Zelnick of Arkansas and his brother John Cloonan of Delaware.

Donald was born February 17, 1937, in Suffern, NY. He was the son of the late John Cloonan and Virginia Cloonan. Donald was predeceased by his brother Robert Cloonan. Donald worked for many years in numerous roles at the New York Telephone Company and then at AT&T. He had a magnetic personality and was loved by so many. A devoted father, grandfather and friend, special people in his life include the entire Ford family of Suffern, NY. He will also be missed by his beloved dog, Kevin.

A memorial service for Donald will be held at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home in Suffern, NY on August 10, 2026 at 12:00pm.
