Donald J. Scaglione

Donald J. Scaglione, 86, of Barnegat, NJ, and formerly of Airmont, NY, passed away on September 19, 2025, in Barnegat. He was born on January 12, 1939, in the Bronx, NY, to the late Dominic and Margaret (Quinn) Scaglione.

Donald worked as a Project Manager for Helmer Cronin and was a longtime member of the Italian American Club in Haverstraw, NY. He had a deep love of Irish music, but above all, he cherished time spent with his family.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Alice (Phelan) Scaglione, in February 2018, as well as by his siblings Edward Scaglione and Margaret McAuliffe.

Donald is survived by his children, John Scaglione (Christine), Nadine Gorman (Tom), and Leanne Scaglione. He was the proud grandfather of Nicole (Corey), Karlie, Ryan, Joseph, and Kieran, and great-grandfather of Issaac and Lena. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 5:00–8:00 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Church of the Presentation, Saddle River, NJ. Committal will be private.
