Dorothy Marie Jones

Dorothy Marie Jones, age 95, of Pomona, New York passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023. Dorothy was born in Pomona, New York. She was the daughter of Brewster Call and Loretta Pitt Call. She attended Spring Valley High School. In May of1946 she married Harrison Jones at The Ladentown Methodist Church. Harrison passed in February, 1988 and is waiting for Mom. She lived and died on Call Hollow, the only place she ever wanted to be.

She had four children. Her son Thomas died in 1975 and it broke her heart. Her first child was Patricia (Butch) Reynolds, her second Harrison (Lori) Jones and her fourth child is Julie Rooney. Julie's husband Michael has passed on and is waiting for Mom at Heavens Gate along with Dad and Tommy.

She had seven grandchildren. Bruce Reynolds, JoAnne (Vinny) Lobo, Thomas (Jill) Jones, Harry (Christine) Jones, Jill (Louis) Pinzon, Brian and Laura Rooney. She had 10 great grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jake) Berliner, Lexi Reynolds, Thomas Reynolds, Joseph and Anthony Lobo, Michael Jones, Hailey Jones, Nick Brautigam, Grace Pinzon and Sammy Pinzon. And she was quite proud to be the Great Great Grandmother of Landon and Theodore Berliner.

Some of her siblings are still with us but sadly some have already gone to Heaven. Her sister Henrietta Berkmeier and her husband Bill have passed as well as her brother William Call and his wife June. Billy Donato and Earl Hiltz are Mom's brother in laws that have also passed but luckily we still have Mary Donato, Anna Hiltz and Bernie Call and his wife Mary with us.

There are many cousins, friends and neighbors that will miss her as we do. Hopefully she is having a great time with her family and friends in Heaven and I'm sure she knows how much we all loved her.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901. A funeral services will occur Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 177 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901. A burial will occur Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at St. John's in the Wilderness Cemetery, 119 St John's Road, Stony Point, NY 10980.
